Mirror curves in a sketch ​

Mirror copies curves and points to the other side of a line. The copy stays symmetric: change the original and the copy follows.

Access: Sketch mode toolbar > Mirror.

Steps ​

  1. Draw the line to mirror across. A construction line is usual.
  2. Click Mirror.
  3. Click the first curve to copy and Shift+click the others, or select them before you click Mirror.
  4. Click the line to mirror across. The copies appear at once.

Points that lie on the line are shared by the original and the copy.

Tips ​

  • To mirror a whole part of a model rather than sketch curves, use Mirror on the toolbar outside the sketch.
  • Mirror before dimensioning the copy: the copy is fully defined by the original.
