When a dimension loses its edge
A dimension points to an edge of the part. When a change of the part removes that edge, for example a feature is deleted and made again, Moket does not guess another edge for it: the dimension stays where it was, turns amber and shows ? instead of a value. It never shows a value of something else.
Access: the problem shows in the status bar of the drawing, for example 1 problem: a dimension lost its edge, and in the Source card: click it to select the dimension.
Fix a dimension that lost its edge
- Select the dimension: click it on the sheet, or click the problem in the status bar.
- The properties say Lost its edge, with the value it showed last and the part's revision.
- Click Reattach, then click the edge it should measure in a view (two edges for a distance). The dimension measures again.
Or click Delete to remove it.
A dimension that still has its edge but cannot measure it that way, such as a diameter of a circle that is now seen edge on, says Cannot measure; reattach it or change its type.
