Construction plane

A construction plane is a plane at a distance from another plane or a flat face. Sketch on it when no face is where you need one.

Access: Toolbar > Plane.

Steps

1. Click Plane.
2. Click the Base: an origin plane in the browser, another construction plane, or a flat face.
3. Type the Offset and click OK. Negative values go the other way; Flip the normal turns the plane around.

The plane appears under Planes in the browser. Select it and click Sketch to sketch on it.
