Give your agent the Moket skill

The Moket skill teaches an AI agent how to work in Moket: how to plan a change, build parts and sketches, put assemblies and mechanisms together, and draw and dimension a part completely. Install it in Claude Code, Claude, Codex, Cursor or another agent that you connect to Moket, so it starts with Moket's rules instead of finding them out.

Access: this page, or Agent skill in Settings > Agents.

Each guide on its own, as Markdown: Working with plans, Parts, Sketches, Assemblies, Mechanisms, Drawings, Project parameters, Project notes, Library and standard parts, Leather, Working over MCP. llms.txt lists every file for tools that look for it.

Install it in your agent

The skill works with an agent that is connected to Moket: see Connect Moket to Claude or ChatGPT or Connect an AI agent over MCP first.

  1. Download the skill package.

  2. Unzip it into your skills folder, so the file is at ~/.claude/skills/moket/SKILL.md:

    sh
    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
    unzip moket-skill.zip -d ~/.claude/skills
  3. Restart Claude Code. When you ask it to work in Moket, it says it uses the moket skill.

TIP

Copy prompt in Settings > Agents installs the skill for Claude Code together with the connection, so you can skip these steps.

In Claude on the web, Claude Desktop or the mobile apps:

  1. Download the skill package.
  2. Open Settings > Capabilities and turn on Skills if it is off.
  3. Click Upload skill and choose moket-skill.zip.

Claude uses the skill in every chat where Moket is connected.

  1. Download the skill package.

  2. Unzip it into Codex's skills folder, so the file is at ~/.codex/skills/moket/SKILL.md:

    sh
    mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills
    unzip moket-skill.zip -d ~/.codex/skills
  3. Start a new Codex session.

  1. Download the one Markdown file.
  2. Add it to your project's AGENTS.md, or paste it into Cursor Settings > Rules as a user rule.
  • Agents that read Agent Skills: unzip the skill package into their skills folder.
  • Agents with project instructions (ChatGPT projects, AGENTS.md, system prompts): add the one Markdown file, or attach the PDF.
  • Tools that look for llms.txt: point them at https://app.moket.io/help/llms.txt.

What's in the skill

SKILL.md tells the agent when to use the skill and how to work: check the connection, look before changing, preview a plan, check the result. The guides go into each kind of work, with example plans that build real parts:

GuideWhat the agent learns
Working with plansPlaceholders, checks, failed previews, approvals, feedback
PartsFeatures, references, holes, shell, draft, sweep, loft, threads
SketchesSketch templates, constraints, trim, offset, splines, text
AssembliesComponents, grounding, joints, subassemblies, configurations
MechanismsLoops, relations, motion studies, exploded views
DrawingsViews, sections, dimensioning a part completely, fits, GD&T
Project parametersSizes several documents share, and what a change reaches
Library and standard partsBought components, screws and bearings, publishing
LeatherPieces in layers, stitch lines, hole counts, folds, a wallet
Working over MCPProjects, documents and waiting plans from outside Moket

Moket builds every example in the guides on each update, so they match how Moket works.

Keep it current

The skill is a copy of the guides on the day you download it, and says its version. While your agent is connected to Moket it can read the guides from Moket instead (read_guide), which are always current, so an older skill still works. Download it again after What's new lists changes for agents.
