Add surface texture
A surface texture symbol says how smooth a surface must be and how it is made: Ra 1.6 on a ground face, for example. A general symbol above the title block covers every surface without a symbol of its own. Moket draws the symbols to ISO 21920-1.
Access: Surface on the drawing toolbar. The general symbol: the sheet's properties, with nothing selected.
Add a symbol to a surface
- Click Surface.
- Click the edge of the surface in a view.
- Click where the symbol goes. It stands on a short line at the end of a leader that points to the surface; the leader leaves that line at its end nearer the surface.
- In the symbol's properties, set:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Process | Removal: material must be removed (a bar closes the symbol). No removal: a circle. Any: either |
| Parameters | Up to two, separated by commas, written under the symbol's line: Ra 1.6, Rz 6.3 |
| Method | How the surface is made, written over the line: ground, turned |
| Lay | The direction of the tool marks: = parallel, ⟂ perpendicular, X crossed, M multidirectional, C circular, R radial, P particulate |
| On a leader | Off: the symbol stands on the surface's edge itself |
Set the general surface texture
- Click an empty part of the sheet so nothing is selected.
- Under General surface texture, type the parameters, such as
Ra 3.2.
The symbol shows above the title block's right end, followed by the plain symbol in brackets: every other surface takes this texture. Clear the field to take it off.
